Use A4 paper at 100% or Actual size. Choose by the task and your class; the suggested range is a starting point, not a curriculum-alignment claim.
How to use this resource
- Choose two familiar objects and name a feature to compare.
- Record one similarity and one difference using observation.

Make it easier or add challenge
More support
Provide the objects and one feature, such as shape or texture, and accept spoken or drawn responses.
More challenge
Choose a different purpose and explain how it changes which features matter.
What to look for
Does each comparison describe both objects using the same feature? Distinguish observation from a guess about how an object was made.
Teacher answers and suggested responses
Open-ended. Possible similarity: both can make marks. Possible difference: a brush has bristles while a pencil has a solid tip.
Judge the stated job and the explanation. Avoid assuming one object is best for every purpose.

Printing, access and sharing
Allow drawing, discussion, practical materials or usual communication tools where they support the learning aim. Use separate paper if a child needs more writing or drawing space.
